Step 1 Initial Design Consultation

We conduct a client interview to discuss your wants, needs, stylistic preferences, as well asyour budget. Our goal for this meeting is to understand your vision and project scope. We request that you collect photos of ideas that inspire the look that you are trying to attain. We will also provide you an overview of our company, concluding with a process discussion and review of our fee structure.

Step 2 Idea Generation & Design Creation

Once you have hired Odessa Mendonça Design, we will begin by reviewing the scope and desired outcomes. Odessa will take complete room measurements along with before photos. The next step is the creative phase featuring several meetings that explore; space planning options, furniture and accessory placement, color palettes and design ideas for your consideration. Once the creative phase is complete we meet with you and provided an estimated total cost of your project. After the presentation should you require any further changes, we will discuss the modifications, and proceed where required.

At this stage you have the choice to choose the A (Renovation) path, B (Source & Purchasing) path or conclude your project at this point.

Step 3a Renovation After you have approved the renovation design, MIG Homes will provide a written contract for the renovation. Once you have signed the contract and provided a deposit, we begin the ordering process and you will be notified of the delivery time periods. Step 4a Project Management MIG Homes will provide on site project management. A daily update is available you. MIG Homes will meet weekly with you to review the project progress. Once all trade work is complete, a walk-thru is done and a deficiency list is generated if needed. Once MIG Homes completes the deficiencies, your design consultant returns to add the finishing touches to ensure your expectations are met. Step 5a Showcasing and Staging Once all renovations are completed and accessories have been delivered we will then complete the placement of soft furnishings according to the floor plan and showcase the accessories to complete the room.

Step 3b Source and Purchasing After you have approved the design plan, your design consultant will provide a revised written contract for the purchase of the agreed upon soft furnishings and accessories. Once you have signed the contract and provided a deposit, we begin the ordering process and you will be notified of the delivery time periods. Step 4b Showcasing and Staging Once all items are delivered we will then complete the placement of soft furnishings according to the floor plan and showcase the accessories to complete the room.
